More grooming (continued)

"Be careful back there," Scooter says.

The last of the winter front boards and old hay removed

Because we had a full crew once again today, I was able to have Jeff remove the last of the winter front boards. He also finished taking the last of the old hay out of the shelters. Today we can officially say that we are done with our spring cleaning duties, thank goodness. Now the things left to do are to keep on spraying the kennels and dog houses and to keep working with our dogs to get rid of all the fleas and ticks for good. We really hope that pretty soon we will have the flea infestation under control.

Jeff takes care of all the old hay in Colby, Muffin and Fluffy's shelter.

Colby to be groomed next

Poor Colby really misses his girl friends, Muffin and Fluffy, who are still inside our Hospital II after being bathed and groomed. Muffin and Fluffy look so fresh and good. Colby has some sores around his tummy area, which I think are from scratching fleas. We are going to be removing Colby from his kennel in order to spray that kennel real well before we let him and the girls go back outside. We will need to bathe Colby and give him a Capstar to take care any fleas that he has, along with applying his Frontline too.

Puppy Duncan needs a friend

Puppy Duncan has learned how to climb on top of his little dog house. He is so cute and very smart. Duncan wants to see everything that goes around him. We put a board out to cover his dog house from the sun/rain, since that small temporary kennel doesn't have a shelter in it. Duncan is so smart he learned right away how to slide down the board. I'm telling you, he is way too cute. Later on during the day we saw him trying to play with something in his water bucket, and I went over to see what it was, and a bug had fallen into his water. Duncan looked cute trying to play with the bug. He really needs a little friend. We can't wait to see him out of quarantine!
