Jackson sure is handsome.

Scottie, Krissy and Pokie are still to be groomed

Tomorrow we think that our groomer ladies will be done with this very difficult and special job. We only have Scottie, Krissy and Pokie left to be groomed. If we have time, I will ask the ladies to brush Cici good, but it was not too long ago when we had Cici groomed with Kathy, the groomer, and Cici's hair hasn't grown back yet.

Waiting for more sunny weather to continue spraying the kennels for fleas

We still have some dogs who are dealing with ticks and fleas, but we can't spray the kennels or apply Frontline today because of the rain. We'll have to wait for sunny weather to continue on with this project.

Little Bear has bad sores around his tail and back

During walks in the park, Tina pointed out to me that Little Bear, who shares a kennel with Tabitha, still has bad sores around his tail and back. We searched all over to see if we could find any fleas, but we didn't. Bear and Tabitha already had some Frontline applied, a Capstar pill and their kennel sprayed, but still Bear has sores, so we're putting Bear on the antibiotic Cephalexin, along with the Benadryl that he's already been on to help his itchiness. We'll have to wait a little to see if he clears up.

Trixie has an upset stomach

This morning Trixie ate all her breakfast, but during caregiving Michael reported that Trixie was vomiting her meal. Then at dinner time Trixie didn't want to eat, so we are keeping a close eye on her. We just can't figure out why sometimes Trixie won't eat, and has an upset tummy. We tried some Pepto and we'll see how she does.

Bailey is better, not limping anymore

We do want to report that thank goodness Bailey is doing much better now. We haven't seen Bailey crying or limping anymore. Maybe we worry too much and probably we over-react, but we believe it's better to be on the lookout to see if we can take care of things in the early stages, rather than wait too long when things might be harder to fix.
