A rainy, gray day today, Thursday, December 12, 2002. Krissy and her sons, Pepper and Pepsi, are all inside their hay-filled dog houses, which are inside the wooden shelter with the aqua plastic tarp over its roof to stop leaks that we haven't had the time or the money to fix. I hope everyone realizes that running this shelter without a heated and air conditioned building to house the dogs in bad weather (the worst of which bad weather comes daily in July and August here in Texas when it's 100 degrees in the shade) has allowed us to survive on the donations from our ever faithful mailing list.
