Dr. Morton bends Frosty's
knee with no problem and apparently little (if any) pain, though
the doctor said Frosty will be feeling pain in that leg for quite
some time.
Dr. Morton straightens out
Frosty's leg. Everything's working fine.

Video: Dr. Morton examines Frosty's leg one month after surgery
Pat stands at one end of
the lift table to help hold Frosty if necessary. (See photos
and an MPEG video of Frosty's leg exam also taken during her vet
visit of 12/19/02 in the edition of Pat's Daily Dog Log
of the same date.)
Frosty doesn't like her
left ear being examined.
Dr. Morton explained that
an ear mite looks like a tiny grain of sand and that you have
to stare at it for a while to see if it moves. If it moves, it's
a mite. The doctor saw movement.
Now Dr. Morton checks Frosty's
right ear, which she's not too happy about either.
Back in the van Frosty waits
on Katie and Pat.
We asked Dr. Morton how
often he sees dogs with gunshot wounds, and he said he's had
to treat two more dogs who'd been shot since Frosty came in on
November 13th.
