Pat Arnold's Daily Dog Log

TUESDAY DECEMBER 17 2002

It's been a crazy day!

All is okay now. Just a bunch of dog-related hassles to work through--all day long it seems--which made the day a super busy one.

Three of the puppies are in foster care now. The other foster care home didn't work out, so we still have (and will continue to keep until adopted) the other three little ones, whom we've named Melinda, Bonnie and Blake.

Adopted puppy, Jimmy, is doing fine says his mom

Little Black Lab-mix Jimmy was adopted last Saturday, and today his new mom called to tell us how much joy he has brought to their lives and that Jimmy and his new bigger puppy friend play constantly, and Jimmy has adjusted beautifully to his new family. This was wonderful news to hear! (This is an example of why it's a good idea for families to have at least two dogs who are compatible and like to play with each other. Most of the time the dogs keep themselves happy and don't feel neglected when family members are occasionally too busy to play with them.)

Tomorrow (Wednesday) Julie goes to the eye doctor in Arlington (Texas)

Early tomorrow morning Guy and his wife, Kim, will be driving Julie dog to
see the eye specialist in Arlington for her several-month-eye checkup.

Candy and Tipper will see our local vet for their yearly checkups

While Guy and Kim take Julie to Arlington, I have an appointment here in the morning for Candy and Tipper to go to our local vet clinic for their yearly checkups and booster vaccinations. It's just going to be another very busy day.
