FRIDAY JANUARY 10 2003

Molly comes home, and she likes her living room kennel!

Tina takes Molly for a potty walk in the park right after Molly arrived home from the clinic after her surgery to remove a tumor from her right upper thigh.

Molly shows off her "no-bite" collar, designed to stop her from chewing her stitches.

Molly's stitches

Molly checks out her living room kennel complete with a soft bed and a window view.

Molly is home from the clinic and has taken very nicely to her temporary, big (4' x 6') kennel that Randy constructed for her in our living room/office. The vet clinic's new supply of No-Bite collars arrived at the clinic yesterday, and Dr. Morton sent Molly home with one of the new collars on today, but it isn't working out so well. She has managed to slip it off of her head twice and began licking her stitches, so I had to put an E-Collar on her tonight.

It's been such a busy day I have no more time to write--and there's another new arrival at the clinic named Davey, whose story will just have to wait. I still have to blend puppy food for Chubs and his sister, Cassie, who have begun to eat soft kibbles, but still need the mushy food too, and Molly is waiting to go outside to go potty, as well as Snowflake. (I feel like the "old woman who lived in a shoe.")

Tomorrow (Saturday) we go to Petsmart in Plano and will be taking puppies and a few adult dogs, and to Canine Commissary on Lower Greenville in Dallas with several adult dogs. Don't know who is going where yet, so if anyone is interested in which dogs are going to be where, you can call me Saturday morning at 903-479-3497. Guy, two volunteers and a van load of dogs and pups will be leaving Straydog at 9:00 a.m.
