Dogs dig and lie in "scoopy holes" to stay cooler

     It's Sunday again here at Straydog. It seems like this past week just flew by. It was busy today. It was hot too. But we seem to be able to tolerate the heat more since it's been here for a while now and we are all getting used to it. The dogs are handling it well too, though they don't like it. They dig their holes in the sand (which Pat Arnold called "scoopy holes," and they get down in them to stay cool.
 
     I was able to snap a photo of Bobby lying in his hole this morning. He doesn't like to have his picture taken, but he wasn't about to get up and move like he usually would. You could tell he was just too comfortable. He did bark at me, a little.

Brian digs for fun

     I caught Brian digging a hole, which I figured he was digging just for fun, as the hole was not really near any shade. He just likes to dig every once in awhile.
