A busy, good day with a full crew
It was another busy, but good day for all of us here at Straydog. We didn't have any rain. It was hot and sunny and we had a full crew.
Duncan is doing better at the vet clinic and may come home tomorrow
Early in the morning we called Morton Vet Clinic to check on Duncan, who's been staying at the clinic since Monday because he was refusing to eat anything. Dr. Terry wasn't there today, but Dr. Morton was, and I was told the doctor would be very busy all day long. As soon as they could, someone would call with an update on Duncan. A little later they called to tell us that Duncan seems to be doing a lot better. He is eating, drinking and he had a BM this morning. No surgery will be necessary, thank God! The doctor took an x-ray after Duncan had his bowel movement and said he didn't see anything. So, more than likely, whatever it was that made Duncan sick has passed on through. Duncan is still on IV fluids, and the vet said that they would like to keep Duncan one more day, to make sure that he's okay. More than likely, he will get to come home tomorrow.
A big rock is found in Duncan's stool
FLASH! - A short time after I'd written the above paragraph Vet Tech Laura sent Straydog an email (at 5:09 p.m.) saying that they had gone out to check Duncan's stool and had found a big rock in it. Laura attached a photo of the stone:

Terry-dog goes to the clinic for x-rays; she has hurt her leg
We reported that Terry-dog has been limping sometimes on one of her back legs. Terry doesn't have a kennel mate. But she still likes to jump and run while playing in her kennel and, of course, in the park. We've been trying to get Terry to slow down. We try not to play with her like she wants us to. But today, during park visits, Tina said that Terry jumped up and when she came down, she yelped and cried. We immediately figured it was probably her torn ACL. She limped all the way into her Hospital I crate. I called Morton Clinic and told them that we would be bringing Terry-dog in for x-rays. As soon as I could, I left with Terry, heading for Morton Clinic. We waited for several minutes, but the vet was way too busy and none of the vet techs were there to help at that time. So, receptionist Linda said to leave Terry there and they would call us as soon as Dr. Morton had a chance to check her out.
