David reports...

Another hot day, but we are used to it and keep hydrated

This morning started off warm and humid. We kind of figured it would get hot soon, and it did. But it's not that big of a shock anymore. We do drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, and we get through the day fine. It was a regular day with the usual cleaning, feeding and caregiving of the sweet dogs that we are privileged to take care of. We sure do enjoy the feeling we get from this hard work.

Noble is better, getting over his ringworm, and his glucose levels are much more stable

Noble was a little low on his sugar level check at 5 a.m. Our overnight person, Rhonda fed him a little food and checked him again at 6 a.m. We gave him the insulin he needed and he was back on track. He has gained his weight back and he looks so much better. His ringworm spots are slowly going away as they are clearing up. We still have to keep him away from all of his Chihuahua buddies. He hears them all go to the park, and you can tell he misses them. We are all careful about how we pet Noble too, so we won't get any of the fungus on us. We all miss petting our Noble-man. I can't wait till I can give him a big old hug.

Noble is sad about being away from all of the Chihuahuas, but he should be out of quarantine soon.

Noble's gang that he misses includes all of the Chihuahuas and Miss Cici, our older (grouchy) Cocker Spaniel.

Cash's gums are red; we use the rinse for Gingivitis

Jim, a new caregiver, reported today that Cash's gums looked red. Melanie and I checked Cash out and saw that they weren't too bad. We rinsed his mouth out with the mouth rinse for Gingivitis and will check on him again tomorrow.

Jim, our new caregiver, is doing very well, and works in Thunder and Storm's kennel in this photo.

Little Bitty (and the rest of us) enjoy the new air conditioning window unit in H1

Our main air conditioner in Hospital I is still acting funny, and it didn't cool for a while today. We are all thankful for the new AC unit that we installed last Sunday, especially Bitty. I got a picture of her sitting in front of the unit, right where the air was coming out. It was so neat, watching her enjoy the cool air.

Bitty enjoys the cool air coming out of the new AC unit.

Dixie is still getting her ear medicine

Dixie is still getting her ears cleaned, and she is still doing fine. I had to coax her with a couple of cookies, to get her to come to me, but it worked out. Buster makes sure that he is there too to get his fair share of any cookies that might be given out.

Dixie and Buster enjoy their park visit together (and their cookie treats).
