Volunteers Michael, Deb and Jeff drop by and say hello

We were joined by young Volunteer Michael for a short while. Foster parents Jeff and Debra H. also dropped by to say hello. They hope to join us next week with Paula, the pretty pit bull puppy, who was recovering from a reaction to her mange dip today.

Volunteers Deb and Jeff (standing) talk with Volunteers Marsha, Sally and Ashley.

A lady interested in adopting a 'bonded pair' will be contacting Straydog

Several folks took newsletters and cards so they could take a look at the website. One lady is interested in adopting a bonded pair. She will be contacting the shelter for recommendations about which pairs are available and which ones would be best suited for her home.

Application taken on Sango

A mom and son filled out an application on Sango. However, the home visit cannot be completed until the dad comes in from California, where he is still working. He will be transferring here soon, and then we can proceed with the home visit. Mom and son were a little disappointed, but we explained to them that it is so important that all family members be present when considering adopting a dog.

Sango, a petite and sweet Staffordshire-mix, sits in the lap of a young boy who wants to adopt her.

New adoptive parents come by with their new puppy, Sawyer, who was adopted last week

Shawn and Cynthia dropped by with little Puppy Sawyer for a visit. Puppy Sawyer was adopted from us last week and has had some stomach upsets, but Sawyer's mom and dad are working with us and are determined to get this little fellow in tip top shape.

Foster mom Ashley greets Puppy Sawyer, a lucky puppy she and her mom, Marsha, rescued from the Tool shelter
along with Sawyer's brothers and sisters. Sawyer's new dad holds the puppy's leash.

A Thank You from Straydog

We thank our visiting volunteers and fellow rescuers for showing these doggies today at Petsmart. We're sorry we were so short-handed at the shelter that we couldn't bring more dogs. But we plan to be at Petsmart next week and hopefully have luck in finding some forever family homes for our furry friends.
