Duncan and Penny

I saw Duncan and Penny in the park too. They were having a good time. They sniffed and sniffed everything. I think the cooler weather this morning perked up all of the dogs and made them frisky. They all seemed to be extra happy.

Pepper gets anther mouth rinse for her Gingivitis

I reported yesterday that Pepper had some red looking gums. We checked them out again today, and they looked better. We did give her another mouth rinse. I think she's going to heal up.

By late afternoon, when it was hot again, the dogs were back in their shade spots. It was a pretty nice day, but we did have one incident that I want to talk about.

Unfortunate incident between Krissy and Little Panther, but all is okay

We are keeping the kitten that Juana has been bottle-feeding, in his own separate crate in Hospital II while Juana is out of town visiting relatives in Mexico. This little guy, whose name is Panther, didn't get ringworm like the other kitties, so he can't stay with them. Krissy got out of her big H2 kennel, by climbing out, and she was trying to pull the crate Panther was in off onto the floor. Panther couldn't get away from the edge of the crate as it tipped toward Krissy, and Krissy bit part of the tip of Panther's ear. We doctored it up and will take the kitten to Morton Clinic in the morning. He is in good spirits, eating and playing, so an emergency visit was not necessary. He is a cute kitten and loves to play.
