HILZ, Janice Louise Wood Farrell Hilz, age 74, of Dallas TX passed away at home on March 9, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born to Mary Louise and Charles Wood on August 14, 1940, in Dallas. She graduated from North Dallas High School in 1958 and attended the University of Texas. In 1960 she married New Yorker, William "Bill" Farrell and together in Dallas they had four daughters, all in Dallas prior to his early death in 1973. She later met and married George W. Hilz of Pilot Point, TX, and they were married for over 30 years. For many years she worked for the law firm of Bickel & Brewer in their Accounting Department where she made many lasting friendships. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Louise Wood Ferguson; her father, Charles Wood; first husband, William Farrell and beloved daughter, Leslie Ann Farrell. She is survived by her daughters Allison Farrell (Rick); Jennifer Farrell McGranaghan (Fran) of Dallas, TX; Jessica Beth Neatherlin (John) of Nairobi, Kenya, and grandchildren True Farrell Neatherlin and Wheatley Mae Neatherlin also of Nairobi, Kenya; brother C. Norman Wood (BB) of Dunnsville, VA; and nieces Wende Wood and Liz Wood Santini, and one great niece, Libby Santini. Janice was a beautiful woman and an amazing mother. She will be remembered for so many wonderful attributes including her grace, strength, kindness to all and great sense of humor. She loved animals and went to the rescue of many a stray cat or dog. Spending time with her family and friends and watching TV with her cherished dog, Judy were but a few of her favorite things to do. She will be forever missed by all. A memorial service will be held at the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park at 3:00pm on Friday, March 13.
